Ridgewood and NJ Transit police responded along with village firefighters and an NJT Rail Operations crew after the tree fell near 264 South Broad St. just after 11:30 a.m.

Service resumed on the Main, Bergen and Port Jervis lines at 12:10 p.m. but with 45-minute delays, NJ Transit said.

The lines run to and from Hoboken through Secaucus between Bergen and Rockland and Orange counties -- including stops in Sloatsburg, Harriman and Port Jervis.
